The Steve Stefani/SHS Dance Marathon is currently in its 20th year, holding its first Mini-THON in March of 2003. Over the years, we have grown in size and strength, and we are looking forward to even more growth this year. Coming off a successful campaign that raised a remarkable $48,011.57  for Four Diamonds, while in the midst of a global pandemic. We are striving for an even greater goal for our 2022 Dance Marathon.

Utilizing a dedicated and spirited organizational structure of a leadership team, captain positions, committee members, and dancers, this student-led dance marathon is one of the most recognizable organizations at Springfield High School. This year looks a little different from years past, but we are still making a strong effort to put on our popular fundraisers from years past.

This year, we will also be selling Luminaries for our Luminary Walk during the day of our event as well as different merchandise that will showcase this year’s logo and slogan. Continuing on from previous years will be the Mail Call for Dancers midway through the event.

Even with all of these events, the Fundraising Committee is putting together Baskets to be raffled off the night of our mini-THON. The proceeds from all the combined events help to fund our mini-THON’s total. We are very proud that we have received so much support and love from our school and the communities of Morton and Springfield since the marathon’s inception, and we look forward to your continued support throughout the year.

The 2022 Leadership team is devoted to making our Steve Stefani/SHS Dance Marathon a continued success. They have been working diligently to make this year’s mini-THON the most successful one thus far, even in these strange circumstances. If you would like to donate money towards our mini-THON or even volunteer your time at the event (or any fundraiser leading up to the actual marathon), please email Adam Henry, the 2022 Overall Chairperson at ssdm.overall@gmail.com. We are very grateful for all the support we can gather to help make this event successful.

If you would like to learn more about our event, please visit the Steve Stefani Dance Marathon website (www.ssdmftk.org). On the website, there are links to many of our fundraising activities as well as contact information for the leaders and the history of our event. If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact me or one of the members of the 2022 Leadership Team for specific questions about their committee.
